Joe is a lovely Lurcher chap of around 5-6 yrs -ish who was found wandering, in a bit of a bad state . He was taken in by his finders, as he got on OK with their other dogs...........but sadly, he didn't like cats and showed this in no uncertain terms by killing one !
So Joe came to me, where he's been waiting out his month until we could rehome him. He's been an absolute star here - he's not bothered about the chooks at all, but he is VERY keen on the cats and rabbits. He can be a bit "macho man" with strange dogs he meets when out, but if he doesn't see any, he's a dream on the lead - a real gent!
Joe is fine to be left for short periods and is clean and quiet when left. He's OK with older kids, but may be a bit bouncy for very young ones. Joe is microchipped and wormed and will be neutered and vaccinated in the next week.
He's currently in West Yorshire with me. If you'd like to know more about Joe, email: kaye@lurcher.org or ring 01422 240168.

Flynn is a rough coated brindle Lurcher of around 2 years old. He is a stray so we have no history on him. He's a bit over friendly with some dogs, so needs a bit of socialisation and is NOT cat friendly. He's clean and quiet in the house and walks well on the lead. He likes his fusses and loves people, although I feel he should only been homed with children over 10 years as he's quite strong willed.

Flynn is currently in West Yorkshire. If you're interested in finding out more about him, email: kaye@lurcher.org or ring: 01422 240168.

Ruby has come to us as a "Greyhound" ....I think someone needs their eyes tested ! Even calling her a Lurcher is stretching it a bit...............but she IS a really lovely natured girl and whoever takes her on will be getting a real gem of a dog. Ruby is obviously mainly bull terrier but I think there may be some collie and possibly a smidgeon of Greyhound in there somewhere . She's not very tall - around 24 ins, but is stockily built. She's very gentle and has good manners - will sit on command etc. She loves her cuddles and is good with other dogs. Probably NOT cat friendly though.
Ruby will be spayed and vaccinated as soon as is possible . She's currently in Yorkshire. If you'd like to know more about her, email: kaye@lurcher.org or ring: 01422 240168

Cas has come to LL because her owner's terminally ill and can no longer care for her. She's a 10 year old smooth coated white and black bitch of about 26 ins tall. Her owner says she's Deerhound (?) x Collie x Bull x Greyhound . She needs vaccinating and neutering (booked in next week) is clean and quiet in the house, gets on OK with most of the other dogs, walks well on the lead, loves kids, but is NOT cat friendly!
If you could offer Cas a home for her twilight years, please contact me : kaye@lurcher.org or rign : 01422 240168

Maisie is a really pretty lttle black fringed red bitch pup with white points. She's about 6 / 7 months old and is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. She's currently being fostered in West Yorks in a home with young children, other dogs and cats. Maisie and her sister have come to us after one of their owner's children developed very bad eczema due to an allergy to their fur. They are allegedly Saluki x but there looks like some collie in there to me as well...and possibly GSD in Allegra's case.
If you're interested in finding more out about Maisie, email: kaye@lurcher.org or ring 01422 240168

Molly is a gorgeous 2.5 year old medium-sized Irish-bred Greyhound bitch who has been raced (in Eire then on UK flapping tracks) and was retired due to a wrist strain. This injury will not be a problem in a pet home and she is fine now.
She's very affectionate and loves people and being around them, and doesn't like being left alone so would be best in a home with canine company. She has only been in a house for a few weeks so its all a bit new for her and she needs to learn a few house rules - she's a keen counter surfer! Molly is NOT cat friendly!
She is shy with new people but soon comes round, and seems like she's suffered some rough handling as she's wary of leads, sticks, narrow passageways and direct approaches. But with calm handling she soon settles down and relaxes. A home with small or noisy kids would probably not be suitable for her, but older, sensible dog-savvy children might be OK.

Molly is currently being fostered in West Yorkshire. If you'd like to know more about her, contact: kaye@lurcher.org or ring 01422 240168
Allegra and her sister have come to us after one of their owner's children developed very bad eczema due to an allergy to their fur Crying or Very sad She's about 6 / 7 months old and is allegedly a Saluki x but there looks like some collie in there to me as well. She's got really soft dense fur, fawn with black guard hairs throughout it and a beautiful sooty black mask. She's about 22ins atm and I'd guess she's got maybe another couple of inches to grow. She looks quite chunky, but a lot of that is due to the thick fur.
Allegra is fully vaccinated ,Microchipped, and neutered. She's getting on fine with the other dogs here and is OK with the cats. She adores children and isn't keen on being left. Allegra is in West Yorkshire. If you'd like to know more about her, email: kaye@lurcher.org or ring 01422 240168

Molly (Greyhound) and Rosie( Saluki x) have come to us because their owner is no longer able to give them the attention they need. She was devastated to give them up but realised it was best for them to find a new home - together if possible.
Molly is a 4 year old Greyhound bitch ( Pedigree name "Bimbo's Bandit") who's never raced. She's quite confident and outgoing, very friendly to people and other dogs but NOT cat friendly! She's just come into season so we need to wait till we can get her spayed. She's white with black patches and is very pretty . She's also suffering with "Happy Tail" atm

Rosie is a 3 year old brindle Saluki x bitch with feathering. She is very nervous and skittish of things she's unsure of and this is why we'd rather she was rehomed with Molly if possible, so give her confidence.
She needs an experienced owner who will be able to deal with her anxiousness when out on walks. She's also good with other dogs and people but NOT cat friendly.
Both Molly and Rosie are fine with children and are housetrained and OK to be left for short periods. Rosie is to be spayed next week.
If anyone's interested in rehoming these two lovely ladies, ring : 01422 240168 or email :

Larry has come to us via a dog warden, with a history of being a hard working dog, so I'd guess not cat friendly. He's such a happy little soul, his tail's always wagging. I'd guess he's probably straight Staffy x Greyhound. He's around 4 years old, but is prematurely greying around his muzzle....the rest of his body shows how fit he is.
Larry has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He's clean and quiet in his kennel , gets on well with other dogs BUT does pull on the lead, so I now walk him with a headcollar as he may only be little (about 22ins) but he's really strong!
He's a really lovely little dog and would make a great family pet as he adores people and children. He deserves a loving home to retire to after his working days and to have a comfy sofa of his own.
Can anyone offer little Larry a home of his own? Ring 01422 240168 or email :
kaye@lurcher.org
