Molly is about 3 years old and is an Irish bred Greyhound bitch and was retired due to a wrist strain. This injury will not be a problem in a pet home and she is fine now. She's the kind of dog that steals your heart, she's truly beautiful with a great personality and is endless fun. She's very affectionate and loves people and being around them, and doesn't like being left alone. She's very food orientated and bright and keen to learn. She can pull a little on the lead and generally needed to be taught the basics as she'd never known anything apart from being in kennels. She's clean in the house and sleeps through overnight. A home with small or noisy kids would probably not be suitable for her, but older, sensible dog-savvy children might be OK. Molly is NOT cat friendly. Molly is currently being fostered in Cheshire. If you'd like to offer Molly a home, ring 01422 240168 or email: kaye@lurcherlink.org. |

Travis
and Primrose These two are 9 years old and have
come to us because of a relationship break up. Travis is a staffie/grey, black with white patches, who loves to rub you with his big head - he is a real cuddly bear! Primrose is a saluki/grey - white with black ears and speckles. She can get a bit verbal with dogs she doesn't know and neither of them are cat friendly and they are both GROSSLY overweight, so are on diets! They both love their cuddles and are very friendly with people. Don't know what they're like with young kids, but they're OK with older ones. Both can be left as their owner worked full-time,and we think they would be happiest in a home where they would be the only dogs, or maybe with very laid back other dogs who won't pester them. As they're older dogs, Lurcher Link will undertake to pay for any vet treatment needed as a result of their advanced years. They're currently in West Yorkshire. To find out more about them, ring 01422 240168 or email: kaye@lurcherlink.org |

Lenny has come to us from a stray pound after he'd been found with horrendous injuries. He's healed up fine now and has been vaccinated and neutered. he's about 12-18 months old and is about 25 ins tall. He's a brindle bull x Lurcher. He is fine with other dogs, but can be a bit food aggressive (hardly surprising given what he's been through). He loves people and is good with kids, but can be a bit boisterous, so would be better with older kids. He's living with cats in the house, but I wouldn't say he's cat friendly. He's still a work in progress regarding lead work, but is a quick learner. Lenny is currently in West Yorkshire. If you'd like to know more about him, ring: 01422 240168 or email: kaye@lurcherlink.org |

Loola is a 7 month old crossbreed pup (mum was a JRT x, dad unknown) who has come under LL's wing. She's not very big, about collie sized, very playful and friendly - loves children, is CAT FRIENDLY and gets on OK with other dogs. her recall's fab and she walks well on the lead. She suffers a bit from separation anxiety, so would be best not being left for too long and would love to be rehomed with at least one other dog. Loola is currently being fostered in the Scottish Borders. if you'd like to know more about her, please email: kaye@lurcherlink.org or ring 01422 240168 |

Freddie is a 6 month old Saluki / Bull / Greyhound pup who is goign to
be a BIG lad when he's fully grown! He's very boisterous, a bit clumsy,
loves to play, has excellent recall, adores children and is CAT FRIENDLY
(as long as they don't mind being bounced on!). Freddie would be best
being rehomed with other dogs and where someone is around most of the
time. |

Phoebe is an 8 month old black, smooth coated Lurcher pup probably
Saluki / Bull/ Greyhound. She's quite chunky and not terribly tall,
very playful, loves people,
children and other dogs and is CAT FRIENDLY. She walks well on the lead
and has good recall when off lead. Phoebe is currently being fostered in Rutland. If you'd like to know more about Phoebe, email: kaye@lurcherlink.org or ring 01422 240168 |

Kerry is a black Lurcher of about 6-8 years who needs a nice quiet,
calm, steady home without too much fuss or noise, She'd be an ideal
companion for a fairly active elderly person as she doesn't want huge long
walks, just a gentle stroll around the park and the occasional run. She
can be a bit barky towards other dogs at times, mainly if they're on the
lead, but her current foster mum is working on that. Kerry is currently being fostered in Derbyshire. If you'd like to know more about Kerry, email: kaye@lurcherlink.org or ring 01422 240168 |

Gizmo is a 3 year old Bull x Lurcher, about 25 ins tall, CAT FRIENDLY
and good with other dogs. He can be a bit nervous around new people, but
if they ignore him, he'll soon overcome his fear and come up for a nosy.
He needs a bit of work on the lead as he can lunge at new dogs and his
recall's not always 100%, but this is being worked on. Gizmo would be best
being rehomed with at least one other dog, as he can suffer with slight
separation anxiety, and would be better with people who are around most of
the time. Gizmo is currently being fostered in Derbyshire. If you'd like to know more about Gizmo, email: kaye@lurcherlink.org or ring 01422 240168 |

Larry
has come to us via a dog warden, with a history of being a hard working
dog, so I'd guess not cat friendly.
He's such a happy little soul, his tail's always wagging. I'd guess he's
probably straight Staffy x Greyhound. He's around 4 years old, but is
prematurely greying around his muzzle....the rest of his body shows how
fit he is. Larry has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He's clean and quiet in his kennel , gets on well with other dogs BUT does pull on the lead, so I now walk him with a headcollar as he may only be little (about 22ins) but he's really strong! He's a really lovely little dog and would make a great family pet as he adores people and children. He deserves a loving home to retire to after his working days and to have a comfy sofa of his own. Can anyone offer little Larry a home of his own? Ring 01422 240168 or email : kaye@lurcher.org |

Jimi is a young Lurcher who has come to us from a stray pound so we don't have any history on him. He had a few fits to start off with in a foster home, but none since, so we don't think it was epilepsy but maybe a vaccine reaction. Obviously this is something we will take on board though, when he's rehomed. Jimi absoutely ADORES people ( especially children) and is OK to be left BUT (maybe because of his fitting in the past???) he is very nervous of other strange dogs. I've been working on this with him and it's getting better, but a prospective new owner will need to work with this too. Our behaviourist is willing to help in Jimi's rehoming ad will advise at LL's expense. Jimi walks beautifully on the lead and has excellent recall when off. He's currently being fostered in West Yorkshire. If you'd like to know more about him, email: kaye@lurcherlink.org or ring 01422 240168 |

Bracken is a stray so we have no history on him. He's a stunning young
bull lurcher standing about 26" tts. He's been clean in the house, shown
no signs of counter surfing, friendly to every dog he's met (and he seems
particularly happy to see terriers) and hasn't made a peep. He has had his
vaccinations, is chipped and neutered. Bracken REALLY hates cats and has almost pulled a couple of people over in his rush to get at them - so he is best being walked ion a Halti and with a muzzle if it's in a built up area where cats are likely to be found. He really needs to go to someone with an understanding of bull breeds as he's a big, heavy dog and I wouldn't let him go to anywhere with young children as he's so big and strong. Bracken is currently in West Yorkshire now. If you'd like to know more about him, email: kaye@lurcher.org or ring 01422 240168. |
